The Half Moon Putney Reviews

Top of the morning 'Erryone' here's a review and photos from the show we did at The Half Moon in Putney, London with our soul partners Northsyde.

Photos & Review by Alan Bates
Last night had another unexpected treat for me and that was my introduction to the music of The Paddy Maguire Band.
WOW.....what a great band. Like the mighty Northsyde, these guys are a no nonsense, bullshit free band that come out and slap you around the face with honest energy. Not only can they play, but they can entertain big style, with fun to the fore and smiley faces a plenty. Mash ups and hard driving sing along fun is this bands trademark and the infectious northern demeanor makes you feel part of the party from the opening number. But they ain't no one trick pony and the stunning delivery of the Etta James classic, 'I would rather go blind' caused many a neck hair to stand to attention, Good work Jenna

And the following Review by Richard Dunning & Photos By Luc Bunt

Last night I had the pleasure of watching two bands that not only are brimming with talent but also, and this is the important bit, know how to entertain. They so obviously enjoyed what they were doing that their enthusiasm spilled from the stage and swept the audience along for the ride. And to top it all off both bands were fronted by ridiculously talented female vocalists. So my thanks to Lorna Fothergill and Jenna Hooson Maguire and all of Northsyde and The Paddy Maguire Band. A magic night and can't wait to see you again!

Tickets at The Half Moon

The Kings Head, Huddersfield

Sunday 11th November saw us return to one of our favorite venues in Huddersfield and what a day!!
After setting all the gear up and feeling (as always) a little apprehensive and the crowd building nicely inside and out, I popped out for a 'Regal King Size Break' and spotted a rather curious looking red van driving around the car-park with non other than The Little Devils aka Yoko & Ray Qureshi together with Graeme Wheatley and Sara Shaw.

JAM

What a fantastic surprise! we had no idea they where showing up at the show! They were on their way from a show the previous night in Hartlepool to a show that evening in Warwickshire.
They delighted everyone with a fantastic impromptu set with Ray staying on and getting is guitar head well and truly on for a jam on a couple with us.
